Maclachlan Exhibition opens

HELENSBURGH Heritage Trust's exhibition “The Maclachlan Dynasty of Town Clerks 1846 to 1956” at Helensburgh Library in West King Street was officially opened on Saturday December 2 2006.

Trust director Sandy Kerr welcomed guests to the ceremony, especially Mrs Mary Greenwell and Mrs Fiona Forrest — great grand nieces of George Maclachlan, the longest serving town clerk — and their husbands.

Winter Open Meetings

comet4Open Meetings are held at the Civic Centre, East Clyde Street, Helensburgh, at 7.30pm on the final Wednesdays of September, October, November, January, February and March. All are most welcome.
