Clydebank-Write-on-Time-book-wTWO Helensburgh writers have contributed to a new book published by Clydebank Life Story Group.

Entitled 'Write on Time', it contains 87 pages of stories, rhymes and poems, many of them illustrated, from members and associate members of the group, and it is their fifth book.

Burgh residents Elspeth Beaton and Bill Gilmour are among the contributors.

Also included are an article entitled 'Evacuees — 1939 Cardross' by the late Betty Bailey, and a poem about Clydebank children being evacuated to the Charles Rennie Mackintosh mansion Hill House in Helensburgh that same year.

The group say: "For all, time is precious. Yesterday, today, tomorrow, whenever. We hope now may be the best time to share our writing with you. Enjoy!"

The book is available at Clydebank Library and at Clydebank Co-op Central Store, at a cost of £6.50.
