St-Andrews-CrossI AM writing to express my warm appreciation of your fine article about my late husband, Campbell Steven.

I feel sure that many people in the area and beyond found it interesting.

Your research of all the facts of Campbell's long life was indeed impressive in its accuracy — indeed in view of his excessive modesty (often infuriating to his family) it is likely that many old friends and acquaintances have never known half of what you revealed!

You may be interested to know that our son Kenneth has followed in his father's footsteps as a writer, although along very different lines.

May your good work long continue.

Yours sincerely,

Maisie Steven,

Aberfeldy,

Perthshire.
