GREAT stories and excellent photographs featured at the final 2008 open meeting of Helensburgh Heritage Trust in Helensburgh Tennis Club on Wednesday November 26.
The guest speaker was Marion Gillies, vice-chairman of Helensburgh Community Council and organiser of an exhibition in Helensburgh Library about the steamer Lucy Ashton earlier this year.
Her topic was ‘Tales and Scenes of the West Coast’, and she took her on audience on a photographic journey from Inveraray to Sutherland — telling many tales about places she had visited. Heritage Trust president Stewart Noble proposed the vote of thanks. Photo by Donald Fullarton.
