Luss battle picA 17th century battle re-enactment will be held in Luss from 11am-5pm on Easter Saturday (March 26) and Sunday, together with a themed banquet at 6.30pm on the Saturday and ceilidh at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel from 8pm, hosted by the Colquhoun family.

Organisers James and Jan Pearson said: "The banquet is not only a fundraising banquet for the new museum, but will launch the 'Friends of the Museum' campaign.

"The battles themselves should be spectacular with over 200 re-enactors and living history experts from the ECWS expected to take part and give demonstrations. There are a number of fun items for young children and archery for those who wish to give it a go, together with a Hog Roast, Stovie and Pie stalls and a Refreshment Tent.

"The Banquet is themed and the menu has been researched to give that 17th century experience. Tickets for this are however limited."
