HELENSBURGH Heritage Trust records with great regret the death of John Carslaw on Thursday in North Berwick at the age of 96.

He was one of the founder trustees of the Anderson Trust, an amateur painter himself, and son of Evelyn Carslaw, a contemporary with Norah Neilson Gray and acknowledged as a "Glasgow Girl".

The funeral was at Cardross Crematorium this afternoon.
