Clydesdale-Bank-w

HELENSBURGH Heritage Trust has been given an old photo of the Clydesdale Bank in James Street — but so far has been unable to date it.

Trust chairman Stewart Noble said: "Because of the metal railings outside the bank, it can be dated to before the Second World War, but what the event was, we do not know.

"King George V's Silver Jubilee and King George VI's coronation are both possibilities, as well as a royal visit."

Stewart would welcome any suggestions. Email him This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
