Trust website milestone

A NEW milestone was reached by this Helensburgh Heritage Trust website this month — the four millionth content view hit.

The website was redesigned in July 2009, and since then it has had an amazing 4,056,000 visitors, each looking at an average of over three pages.

Heroes Centre opens in town

HELENSBURGH'S new Heroes Centre opened to the public today to celebrate the town’s past and give a taste of the project’s future.

Nine years after the idea was first proposed by Phil Worms, it became a concrete reality after a benefactor ‘literally fell out of the sky’.

Exhibition of minister's art

AN ART exhibition featuring the work of a former Helensburgh minister was held over the weekend of September 23-24 at his former church.

The Rev David Reid was minister in Old and St. Andrew's Church, now Helensburgh Parish Church, from 1973-85, and a retrospective exhibition of his work was held in the Helensburgh Parish Church Halls.

First 2018 Open Meeting

Mike-Thornley-wThe first 2018 Open Meeting will be held at Helensburgh Civic Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesday January 31. Mike Thornley will talk about the Glenarn garden at Rhu. Anyone interested most welcome.
