The Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club at Rhu is a club with a fantastic heritage but with a modern outlook. Iit can trace its origins back to 1824 and today is one of the largest, most active and successful yacht clubs in the country. Its mission is to encourage and support sailing and a wide range of water-based activities, and to provide and maintain a suitable clubhouse and associated facilities for the sporting, recreational and social use of its members.

Cove Sailing Club is the home of the Loch Long One Design, a wooden keel boat built for racing along the shores of the Loch. This popular club plays in Gareloch Bowling Association and Dunbartonshire Bowling Association competitions. A Special General Meeting was held in the Temperance Hall in West Princes Street on January 18 1951 to form the club, at which 31 bowlers from the 'Council Green' in Hermitage Park were present. The chairman of the meeting, Mr D.McLeish, called for the disbanding of Hermitage Bowling Club and the formation of Colgrain Bowling Club. This was unanimously agreed and Colgrain Bowling Club became a fully constituted club.

Cardross Curling Club was founded in 1863 and admitted to the Royal Caledonian Curling Club in 1864. The club currently has around 30 members and plays most of its games at Greenacres. It belongs to the RCCC 10th (Dunbartonshire) Province (Area 4) .
