Helensburgh Heritage Trust
A CELTIC Cross, marking Helensburgh's Bicentenary, was unveiled in Colquhoun Square in 2005.
Created by Ronnie Paton of J.Paton Monumental Sculptors, Alexandria, it had been first suggested in 2002 as part of the bicentenary celebrations, but it took three years to raise the necessary funds by public subscription.

The right half shows a seated Madonna with the child on her knee and St Joseph standing behind them holding a lantern.
The Rev John Baird, the father of John Logie Baird, was the first minister of the West Established Church in Helensburgh, later known as St. Bride’s Church.
